Keep saffron away from light, heat and moisture. Suitable storage temperature for saffron is less than 2 degrees Celsius and less than 2% in humidity.
The best saffron containers are primarily metal containers and then colored glass containers. Plastic containers are not suitable for storage because they shorten the essential oils and degrade their quality.
It is also advisable to use powder as a powder and to consume it in a short time, since its aromatic essence evaporates from the powder sooner and may lose some of its medicinal effects and quality.
Although saffron can be stored for several years if stored correctly, it is recommended to use it for two years as it loses its fragrance over time.
